๐ข๐๐๐น ๐๐๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐,
Even when we think our plans change, or make last minute decisions, God is still right there in the midst of it all. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path".
When I think of Jesus, His Disciples, and all of His followers, notice, He was always prepared to uplift, encourage, and invoke change through the Word of His Father, our Lord God.
For example, read John 4: 4-42. Here we see Jesus traveling through Samaria and stops in a city called Sychar. Jesus was close to an area of land that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. While there, Jesus says to the woman, "Give me a drink". Actually, let me provide that passage below from Bible Gateway...
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, โWill you give me a drink?โ8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) 9 The Samaritan woman said to him, โYou are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?โ (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.10 Jesus answered her, โIf you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.โ
11 โSir,โ the woman said, โyou have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?โ 13 Jesus answered, โEveryone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.โ 15 The woman said to him, โSir, give me this water so that I wonโt get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.โ
16 He told her, โGo, call your husband and come back.โ
17 โI have no husband,โ she replied.
Jesus said to her, โYou are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.โ 19 โSir,โ the woman said, โI can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.โ 21 โWoman,โ Jesus replied, โbelieve me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.โ 25 The woman said, โI know that Messiahโ (called Christ) โis coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.โ 26 Then Jesus declared, โI, the one speaking to youโI am He.โ
That day, Jesus was prepared to save a soul and forever change a life. As we travel, meet people, connect in community places or conferences, church, work, business or pleasure, be sure to carry the message of Jesus in your heart. We may not know the history of a person like Jesus, but God's fruit inside of us should be ripe and ready.
Father in the name of Jesus, prepare us to minister, help, assist, inspire and encourage others as Jesus did and does.
In Jesus name. Amen.
