𝒯𝑜𝓅𝒾𝒸: "Fighting Words"
𝒢𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝑀𝑜𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜 𝒴𝑜𝓊,
Deuteronomy 3:22 reads, "“Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you".
What do you do when the enemy attacks? How do we fight invisible forces that are set out to steal, kill and destroy? The bible says in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full".
What does this mean? You are not strong enough, alone, to fight off spiritual attacks from Satan. However, God has provided us with the most powerful "Fighting Words" that is more powerful than any two-edged sword. The word of God says in Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged-sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart".
Allow God to fight for you! Allow the power of Jesus' sacrifice and His resurrection to to fight. Allow me to remind you of some of the most powerful "Fighting Words" that will cause Satan to run away from the fight.
Ephesians 6: 11-17, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God".
2 Chronicles 20:15, “This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Remember, when the Devil tries to attack you, he is indirectly trying to attack God and we all know God wins every time".
Deuteronomy 28:7, "The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways".
Luke 10:19, “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you".
2 Corinthians 10:5, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity, every thought, to the obedience of Christ".
Psalm 44:5, Through You, we will push back our adversaries, through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us".
Psalm 34:17, “The righteous cry and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles".
Romans 8:37, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us".
When in trouble, call out the word of God. Tell God, "Father YOU gave us this word to use for us in storms. Father YOU allowed us to have something to fight with spiritually while the power of Christ works for us. Father YOU said to call on You and You will hear our cry and rescue us. Father YOU said You will defeat our enemies". God loves for us to call out His word.
Familiarize yourself with scripture, so you may call upon it when the occasion rises. There is no time to stumble and fumble once the storm hits.
Father in the name of Jesus, we thank You God for equipping us with the most powerful Fighting Words ever. Father God thank You for Your Son Jesus the Christ who allowed us to have the same power. Father God thank You for covering us in Your Word. Father God strengthen us so we may stay connected in Your Power and in Your Might when it's time to fight.
It's in Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
