𝒯𝑜𝓅𝒾𝒸: "Exclusive Relationship"

𝑀𝑜𝓃𝒹𝒶𝓎'𝓈 𝒫𝓇𝒶𝓎𝑒𝓇: 𝟣𝟤/𝟩/𝟤𝟢𝟤𝟢 𝒮𝒸𝓇𝒾𝓅𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒: Mathew 6:24-27 𝒯𝑜𝓅𝒾𝒸: "Exclusive Relationship"

The Scripture says at verse 25, "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it". Commitment to Christ demands a choice. Jesus did not waste the disciples time. Either they would deny their own desires and follow Him or they would reject Jesus.

Believers today, right now in December 2020, have the same choice. We can either deny ourselves or deny Jesus. "Well Lady Monica, what do you mean by denying our own desires"? Glad you asked!

Some examples of things we can hold onto in the Natural Realm are:

1. Unforgiveness (Read, Mark 11:25) 2. Attachments (Read, Mathew 19:21-24) 3. Distractions (Anything that you're giving more attention to than your time with God. Invest in Your Relationship w/ God. (Read, Luke 12:13-21) 4. Un-Godly Relationships (Read, 2 Corinthians 6:14) 5. Various Sin Examples: Abuse of Alcohol, Pre-Marital Sex, Violence, Adultery, etc.. (Read, James 4:17)

So just think about What you are you holding on to? What is that one big thing you're afraid to let go of?

Commitment limits choices because it's Exclusive! If you're married, you no longer continue to see others intimately outside of your marriage. Likewise, Jesus Christ wants an exclusive relationship w/ you today.

Father, in the name of Jesus, Your Son demonstrated in the Garden of Gethsemane, that Your will always takes precedence over any person, place, or thing. Father help our commitment to You build our faith and develop our character.

Father help us to become more spiritually disciplined. Father we desire to put in the time for prayer, the work required to study in the Word (our bibles), and the dedication to a relationship with You via acceptance of Jesus Christ.
