𝒯𝑜𝓅𝒾𝒸: "An Extraordinary Gift"

Happy Holiday's and Merry Christmas to You and Your Loved One's!!

As many of you will be opening gifts, or watching your children open gifts, I wanted to take a small moment to review this particular scripture about the birth of our greatest gift.

In Isaiah 7:14 it reads, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel".

The Bible References many names for our Heavenly Father. Particularly, for this scripture, Immanuel means "God with us". More than 2,000 years ago, our Redeemer was born for us. Our Savior died for us. The Son of God was resurrected for us. But why though? Why would God sacrifice His only begotten Son? Why would a sinless person die for each of us? Why the gift of Christ?

At the heart of God, we find the Cross. Since the fall of Adam and Eve, humans have been plagued by sin and the evils of this world. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

We are incapable of living without sin, so Jesus, who lived a blameless and blemish free life, sacrificed Himself. God did not send Jesus to condemn the world, but gave Him that we might be saved.

How many of you would sacrifice your favorite child in order to save millions of souls? The act of the Crucifixion of Jesus, displays God's deep love for each of us. Additionally, His resurrection sealed the deal and completed the process.

The blood of Jesus gave life to you and me. The blood of Jesus is as powerful as it was dripping off the cross that destined day, as it is today, on Christmas 2020. The blood of Jesus is life and gives eternal life. It is symbolic of the love of a Father and of His Son. There is no greater gift than the sacrificial Lamb .

Father in the name of Jesus, today's prayer is to simply and humbly thank You for Your Love for us. Thank You God for the Gift of Jesus. Thank You God for the Gift of eternal life, after accepting Jesus Christ. Father God we accept and recognize Jesus as Your Son. We accept Him as our risen Savior.

Father God we honor the slain Lamb for not giving up on the cross. Thank You Jesus for running the race for me. For them. For us. We are undeserving of the greatest and most extraordinary Gift.

Father, for those of us who have accepted Christ into our lives but have neglected or abandoned relationship with You, Father I ask that You help us to get back on the path of righteousness. Father, whatever is not like You in our lives in 2020, please take it away before we enter 2021.

Father God we love You and we bless Your holy and matchless name.

It's in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
